HTC One X+ Coming To Telus

Telus customers rejoice!  Another high end device is headed your way.  Sometime in the near future, Telus will be releasing the sequel to the HTC One X, the HTC One X+.  While the devices look nearly identical, HTC made some very welcome changes to the internal of the device.  Here’s the specs:

As you can see, the key changes to the phone are the processor, internal storage, and battery life.  Many were upset that the North American version of the original One X got the short end of the stick when it was downgraded to a dual-core device to accommodate for LTE.  Fixed!  Another complaint was that there wasn’t enough internal storage, especially with no option to expand it with a Micro-SD Card.  Fixed!  The other key problem was battery life on the phone.  To rectify that, HTC bumped the battery from the 1800 mAh to a 2100 mAh. Kind of Fixed.

The device itself looks nearly identical to the original and, in my humble opinion, that could be a problem.  The fact that the phone looks the same as the original may greatly confuse consumers, especially if the original One X is still kicking around at stores.  If Telus carries both devices at the same time, which they likely will at least unofficially until they clear out the originals, the original will likely take on a lower price and customers will be confused as to why the same phone has two different prices.  Sales reps will definitely need to be trained to know the difference so that they can properly inform the customers.

The phone isn’t available quite yet but is listed as coming soon on Telus’ website.  Any of you planning on picking up the One X+?
