Google Brings Adds Two More GPE Devices To Their Line Up – Still Nothing For Canadians Though
Well this is pretty interesting! The US Google Play Store has just added a couple more Google Play Edition devices to their line up today, including the first ever Google Play Edition tablet and first ever Google Play Edtion phablet! The two new devices are the GPE LG G Pad 8.3 and the GPE Sony Xperia Z Ultra. As with all Google Play Edition phones, the specs are identical to the originals but the software is pure Android! In terms of the pricing, the G Pad will cost $350 while the Xperia Z Ultra will cost $650.
Sadly, these devices are still exclusive to the US so if you’re hoping to snag one of these pretty new devices, you’ll need to find a friend in the states to send it to you. I’m hoping that Google will eventually open this up to more countries but I haven’t heard of any possible movement in that regard which is a bit of a bummer.
What do you guys think of the new Google Play Edition devices? Would you pick up either of them if they made it available in Canada?
