With all this talk lately of the LG Nexus 4, it’s been a while since we’ve mentioned or thought about last year’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Despite being over a year old now, the vanilla Google phone is still quite stellar and running on the latest iteration of Android, 4.2 Jelly Bean. This is more than we can say for a lot of other, newer phones out there, as many, like the Galaxy Note, are still waiting for their 4.1 updates.
The Galaxy Nexus’ pricing seems to be coming down drastically given the age of the device as well as the fact that the Nexus 4 is about to be restocked in the Play store and coming to carriers soon. We’ve already announced that Quebec’s Videotron will be selling the device, and it’s only a matter of time before we start to see the other Canadian mobile carriers get in on the action as well.
As such, there are some good deals to be had on the Galaxy Nexus if you happen to be either a Bell, Fido, Wind, or Mobilicity customer.
Fido has the device for sale outright at $350. Bell’s pricing is $349.99. Wind is selling the Galaxy Nexus for $379.99. And finally, Mobilicity offers the best bargain out of the four, selling the phone for a low $329.99.
If you’re not the kind of person that needs the latest and greatest phone, I would really give the Galaxy Nexus some thought. In fact, I would even recommend the phone over several newer handsets out there simply due to the fact that its running on vanilla Android.
