Although many out there feel like QHD or 2K displays are unnecessary on mobile device, the fact is that these high def displays are slowly becoming the norm for flagship devices. So how do you stand out then in a world of 2K display? Well perhaps you pack your device with a 3K display!
Based on a leaked Verizon document, LG may be doing just that with their next flagship device, the G4. The device, which carries the model number LG-VS999, is speculated to be the Verizon variant of LG’s next flagship and as you can see in the leaked document, the device will sport a screen with a 1620×2880 resolution. Where this gets even more interesting is that another LG device, the LG H810, which is also assumed to be the G4 but for AT&T, only sports a 2K display (1440×2560).
So what’s the deal? Are there going to be two versions of the G4? Is LG perhaps preparing a “Prime” version of their flagship and is Verizon getting an exclusive to it? Can’t say for sure right now but time will tell.
