Check Out The Meizu MX3: Exynos Octocore And Up To 128GB Storage
While the majority of us have been focused in on the Samsung and Sony announcements, a very impressive phone has been announced over in China. Meizu has just announced the MX3, their latest flagship device. Before you write off the phone thinking that it’s some no name phone let me first say that Meizu isn’t just some no name company. They’re actually quite large in the Asian markets but they haven’t moved worldwide at all so many have never heard of them. Now that that’s out of the way let me fill you in on the specs:
- 5.1″ 1800×1080 Display
- Octocore Exynos 5410 Processor (same as the international S4)
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB-128GB Internal Storage
- 8MP Camera (made by Sony)
- 2MP Front Facing Camera
- 2400 mAh Battery
- Android 4.2 with Meizu’s Flyme 3.0
Not to shabby right? And just in case the specs don’t make this phone super appealing maybe the price will. For a 16GB model you’ll need to shell out CNY2,499 or roughly $430 CAD and if you’re wanting that massive amount of storage, the 128GB model will set you back CNY3,999 which translates to roughly $680 CAD. While it may seem kind of high it really isn’t compared to the flagship devices we get here. And none of our phones are coming with 128GB of internal storage at that price.
If I’ve piqued your interest and you’re wondering when you can try and grab this little gem, the phone is supposed to launch mid September. As far as I know, there’s no global release planned so you’ll have to grab it online somehow which means you may be paying a premium for it.
