[UPDATE]
So, originally I said don’t do this update… looks like some of the theories on line were true… 4.0.2 was the precursor update needed to send out JB.
My wife’s phone got this update, then after was able to get the 4.1.1 update.
If you don’t get your update – remember, do the ‘kickstart’ trick
MENU / SETTINGS / APPS / ALL APPS
find “Google Services Framework” and click on it. Then ‘clear data’.
Then go into your Dialer and punch in *#*#2432546#*#* (i.e. c-h-e-c-k-i-n). Wait a bit and it’ll say “checkin succeeded”. Then go check for the update:
MENU / SETTINGS / ABOUT PHONE / SYSTEM UPDATE and click “check for update”
didn’t take too long for my wife to get it.
Happy ‘beaning!

So, as we’re starting to talk about updating devices to Jelly Bean, Rogers just updated their now outdated Nexus device.
No, not to Jelly Bean, but just plain ol’ 4.0.2.
Wait !
Didn’t this reduce NFC functions back when?
Yup… 6 months later and it still does. Way to go Samsung.
