HTC has been trying very hard to get their flagship device, the HTC One, to Android 4.4 KitKat as soon as possible. The Unlocked version, Developer Edition, and Google Edition are all already rocking the chocolate-y treat but the carrier versions (at least here in Canada) are still awaiting their fun in the sun. Well according to this latest update from HTC, they’ve done their part and it’s now up to the carriers to do theirs.
As you can see in the chart above, the updates for the HTC One and HTC One Mini are now undergoing our very favourite thing, carrier testing. No one ever really knows how long carrier testing takes but hopefully (fingers crossed), the carriers step up their game and roll this out asap. Rogers website says that they’re aiming for late January to roll out for the HTC One and late February for the Mini so hopefully we see at least one update before the month runs to end.
