Google Acquires Another Company, This Time With Big Implications for Android

FlexyCore

Well it looks like Google is at it again as they have acquired yet another company.  The interesting thing with this acquisition though is that it should have a direct affect with Android in the near-ish future.  The company that was just acquired is FlexyCore, the French company behind the app known as droidBooster.  While I had never used the app myself, or even heard of it for that matter, it was said to greatly increase the performance of Android device.

Here’s what Google had to say about the acquisition:

“The FlexyCore team has strong expertise in building software to optimize Android device performance, and we think they’d be a great fit with our team.”

Generally I’m rather skeptical about these “optimization” apps but as I’ve been doing a little research into the company and their app I discovered that the founder formerly worked in R&D at Texas Instrument so that’ pretty promising.  Plus, Google wouldn’t shell out 23 million to acquire the company unless they saw at least a little something useful there.
