Galaxy S III News Roundup

Samsung’s latest handset has been out for a couple of months now.  And despite the usual pace of the Android world where things are old after a day, this phone has not lost the spotlight.  Here’s a few bits of news that have popped up the last couple of days.

1. Galaxy S III Sold Over 10 Million

The title basically says it all.  The device is flying off the shelves.  Samsung’s Galaxy series has really become the most popular and most well known series of Android phones.

2. Galaxy S III Jelly Bean Coming?

There’s a rumor from the SamMobile site that says Samsung is already testing out the Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update.  Now, they do note that this is likely the international version, but it’s still good to hear things are already moving forward.  The speculative release is August/September.  We can only hope that the American/Canadian versions receive similar attention.  Also, the Galaxy S II is said to be in testing.

3. CM10 Almost Ready on Galaxy S III

Here’s a video of CM10 running on the international Galaxy S III.  So even if that previous rumor doesn’t pan out, at least the CyanogenMod team is hard at work in bringing this great device to the greatest Android version yet.
