Sony has a couple of killer phones on the market right now in the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra. Both devices feature top of the line specs but sadly their software is a little bit behind the other flagships. Both devices are still running Android 4.2 but fear not, Android 4.3 is on the way. Sony has posted on their blog that the Android 4.3 update for the Z1 and Z Ultra are now rolling out.
In addition to the enhancements that come along with Android 4.3, it looks like Sony has done a lot of their own work in updating their UI and UX. According to the post, Sony is “uplifting [their] entire native app portfolio to the latest versions” which should lead to an overall better experience while navigating around your device. Sony is also launching “Xperia Themes” which will have downloadable UI packs to further make your device fit you perfectly.
While the update is indeed rolling out, it doesn’t appear to be rolling out in Canada quite yet. The software is likely still going through that wonderful thing we know as carrier testing but hopefully it won’t take too long for the update to make it your way.
