If you’re rocking an older Motorola device I may have some unfortunate news for you. Motorola released an updated update schedule for their devices. If you look specifically at the Canadian devices, it doesn’t appear that they’re planning to do any further updates with their older devices. The biggest surprise is probably that the Atrix 4G is going to be left at Gingerbread. However, on the US side, the Atrix is not completely written off but simply states “further plans coming soon.”

Another piece that caught my eye was that the American Xoom has already received Jelly Bean while the rest of the world seems to be stuck at ICS (at least for the time being). We’ll have to wait and see a little longer to see what Motorola decides to do with that update.
