Samsung S4 LTE-A Sporting Snapdragon 800 Unboxing Leaked
The rumored Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A has been spotted online, featured in a full unboxing, which adds up to the rumour of an upcoming release in Korean SK Telecom’s LTE-Advanced network. This updated Galaxy S4 features alongside LTE-A the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
The Galaxy S4 will be one of the first LTE-A enabled phones out on the market, promising speeds of more than double those achieved on normal 4G LTE. Nonetheless, LTE-A spread in other markets it’s not very big (mostly not even available) so this smartphone may only reach selected markets.
The processor under the hood is surely another coveted update, as early benchmarks show devices featuring the Snapdragon 800 CPU blowing contenders out of the water. Qualcomm’s chipset is composed of a quad-core Krait chip running at 2.2Ghz paired with the new Adreno 330 graphics.
This new updated version of the Galaxy S4 is sure to add some power to an already beloved flagship, even if you’re not on an LTE-A network. Nonetheless, according to Samsung’s co-CEO J.K. Shin mentioned this version would be priced a little higher than the normal S4, as expected.
Korean customers who had purchased the Snapdragon 600 version of the S4 are complaining about Samsung’s decision to launch an updated flagship just 2 months after the original launch, leaving customers feeling deceived.
