Galaxy S4 Zoom Gets Pictured
Another member of the Galaxy S4 family has just shown itself online thanks to SamMobile and Techtastic. The Galaxy S4 Zoom, which is the camera centric variant of the Galaxy S4, was shown off in some pictures posted by the aforementioned sites. Although the device isn’t yet official, most of the specs seem pretty legitimate:
- 4.3″ qHD Super AMOLED Display
- 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Processor
- 8GB Internal Storage
- microSD Card Slot
- 16MP Camera with Optical Zoom
- Android 4.2.2
In terms of style, it definitely takes after Samsung’s smart camera, the Galaxy Camera. It doesn’t look quite as thick as the Galaxy Camera but it’s not near the thinness of the Galaxy S4. The specs are also quite a downgrade over its namesake and puts in more in the mid-level category rather than any sort of flagship device.
While I like the Galaxy S4 Active, I don’t think I’m a fan of the S4 Zoom. To me, they should have just used this device as a sequel to the original Galaxy Camera rather than dilute the name of their flagship brand. Is anyone out there interested at all in this device??
