Swype has been gaining a lot of popularity lately, so much that the iPhone even has their own version Swype on the jailbreak app store Cydia. For some reason, if you don’t know what Swype is, Swype is an alternate input method for text. Other than typing on a keyboard, the user will drag their finger from letter to letter almost like connecting the dots to spell their word. It is one of those things where you either hate it, or love it.
Swype has released an update to version 3.25 for all supported devices.
This update includes:
- Gestures – Quick cut/copy/paste/select all; quickly send info to Twitter/Facebook/Google Maps.
- Personal Dictionary – Ability to add and edit your own words that are frequently used.
- Swype Connect – Deals with licensing and gathering statistics on users. Nothing we care about.
- Bug Fixes
Here is a demo of Swype in action.
