New Voice Search Update Brings In Conversational Search!

Voice Search Conversational

Good news friends!  Remember that story we shared about new features coming to Google Now?  Features like conversational voice search?  Well it’s a rumour no more as the update is rolling out to devices.  The big change in the app is the ability for your phone to ask questions back to clarify.  As you can see above, I asked my phone to send a text and it would like to know who to send it back to.  If your sound is on, the phone will actually talk back to you and then reactivate the voice search to listen for your response.

The new app is also said to bring a few new Google Now cards to your device.  A Website card will keep you up to date with you favourite websites, a News card brings you breaking stories and a Watch card will give some movie and tv show recommendations.

In addition to all of that (as if that wasn’t enough) the new app packs the new Google Experience Launcher into it and with the help of a subsequent app, you too can have your device looking like a Nexus 5!  There is a minor catch to all of this, you need to be on Android 4.1 and newer for these apps to work.  I’ve included links to the apps below so hopefully those work.
