If you are one of the lucky few who have been able to snag a Galaxy Note 2 this past week, you may have noticed that one of the key features is not present on the device. Samsung showed off how the Galaxy Note 2 could do real multi-tasking by splitting the massive screen in two. It’s a great feature and something a lot of people will likely use, especially with that little hack Tom showed us, but it’s not yet present on the Note 2.
Don’t worry though. You won’t need to tinker and hack and root and all that fun stuff to get this feature (if you’re patient). Samsung has let the Canadian public know that they will be enabling this feature in a future update for the phone. It’s not just Canada that had this feature muted, but it seems that it happened this way in the states as well. Here’s a short statement sent to Mobilesyrup:
“The Multi View feature will be coming soon to Galaxy Note II devices in Canada through an OTA update.”
So as long as you can be patient, you will be getting this feature on your phone without needing to void the warranty. I’ll probably end up doing the latter once I get mine because I want to be able to multi-task with any app, but for the average user, patience will keep your warranty in check!
