Google Maps Gets Updated to 5.9
Google Maps has been updated to version 5.9, and everyone’s favorite “bubble buttons” is back, which lets you call or navigate right from the maps. You will also find that you can set up custom notifications for the transit navigation, and it is now supported on tablets.
Google also added the ability to personalize your place pages by uploading pictures as well as manage your starred and recently visited Places in the “My Places” tab.
It seems like Google is updating Maps a couple of times per month which is nice to see. Now all we need is the ability to cache larger map segments along with being able to use them for navigation. When that happens we will be golden.
Latitude: See friends on the map and check in at place’Bubble Buttons’ Lab to add call and navigate buttons to results on the map
