I have been flashing roms almost daily on my Galaxy Nexus. I have always been a fan of “Less is more” when it comes to roms. Custom tweaks and fancy bells and whistles are always nice, but in the end I just want a slim rom thats fast and clutter free.
One rom in particular has caught my eye. It doesn’t have a fancy name, but the developer by the name of Bigxie has done a great job building this thing. He has kept is as stock as posible, while just tweaking it for better battery, extra power menus and an under volted Apex kernel to save that extra battery without compromising stability. Clearly there is more then what I stated here, but most of it is all under the hood tweaks that a lot of users won’t see, but will defiantly feel when doing their daily tasks.
Currently he is on build #6 and I have followed him from build #1. This is by far my favorite stock-ish 4.0.3 rom available for the Galaxy Nexus. If you want to check this rom out, I will post a link below.
[ROM][GSM][AOSP] IML74K Android 4.0.3 Build 6 – STABLE, MODS (1/2/12)
Obviously root is required for your Galaxy Nexus before flashing any roms. I posted an easy root guide for the Galaxy Nexus, which can be found here
