Facebook for Android now up to 1.7.1 [tablets supported]
Today Facebook updated to 1.7 and then quickly updated to 1.7.1.
Now, I’m not a big fan of this app. For some reason it won’t contact sync with my Galaxy S [when I was on Eclair it would, but not on Froyo — if you can help, let me know].
But, there’s not much else good out there.
This update brings you:
What they didn’t mention, which they should and then put HUGE highlighting all around is that it’s now Honeycomb compatible. That’s right – it’s on your tablet now.
It’s stretched, but hey. The alternatives aren’t that great [replying via the web is a major annoyance].
Now on my tablet it syncs contacts and it works okay. Just SLOW. For the first hour or so I just let it sit there and the little spinny spun it’s fun while I waited.
But it’s a step forward.
