Android Market rebranded as Google Play (has a sale to celebrate #deal)

The king is dead… Long live the King!

And by ‘king’ I meant “Android Market”, and King I meant “Google Play”

It’s another rebranding play for Google in consolidating as much as they can into one ‘style’.  (I can’t wait for Docs to become Drive).  Other than the name, I don’t really see any difference than previous, but good to know Google’s in that ‘consolidation mode’.

Not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but we’ve been tipped off to a sale in the Market.  Several apps are just 49¢ right now and there’s even a new “Play of the Day” for just 25¢
