Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Gets A Hands-On Preview
After all the rumours and the leaks, the Playstation Phone is in fact a real device and Engadget got an exclusive full hands-on preview on this Android running gaming phone. Xperia Play is the official name and it’s running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with an improved Xperia skin on a 854×480 LCD multitouch 4″ display.
1GHz processor, Adreno 205 GPU, and 512MB of RAM, 5MP camera. Same standard Android buttons for navigation and the Playstation controls are revealed by sliding the phone out. One shoulder button on each side along with two touch analog sticks.
The games will be delivered through what they’re calling Playstation Suite which was announced at Sony’s event last night. There’s still many lingering questions such as the price, availability and if it will actually be functional as a phone and gaming device. Be sure to check out Engadget’s extensive look.
