Rogers Launches LTE Network + Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and More!

Rogers Launched it’s LTE network across Canada as of yesterday, covering areas consist of Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver. The only LTE device currently available is the Sierra Wireless AirCard 313U, but that’s changing October 18th when the HTC Jetsream will be launched.

The people at MobileSyrup have stumbled across a pricing guide for some of the following LTE devices, which will find their way on to Rogers shelves very soon.

HTC Jetstream: Launching October 18th:
3-year contract: $499.99
2-year contract: $549.99
1-year contract: $599.99
No-Term: $799.99

LTE Samsung Galaxy S II:
3-year contract: $199.99
2-year contract: $549.99
1-year contract: $599.99
No-Term: $649.99

LTE Sierra Wireless 754S Mobile Hotspot:
3-year contract: $129.99
2-year contract: $149.99
1-year contract: $169.99
No-Term: $199.99

I for one have my eye set on the Galaxy S II LTE. As you might know, I already have Bell’s Galaxy S II running on Rogers network, but to have a LTE enabled version with a faster CPU is just the icing on the cake. There has been no solid released date for the Galaxy S II LTE, but all we are given is that it will be released within a couple weeks.

What does LTE mean to you? Will you jump on one of these LTE phones right away, or will you just sit tight on Rogers HSPA+ Network? Let us know what you think, and if you are yey or ney for LTE.
