I nearly screamed for joy when I read this article this morning. According to GMSArena, Samsung is planning to release their Galaxy Note II by October 2024. We knew there was talks of one coming, but no one really knew for sure. Finally with confirmation made that there will in fact be a Galaxy Note II, the rumours will start to fly.
The Galaxy Note II is said to be loaded with 1.5 GB of RAM, along with a new Exynos 5250 chipset, featuring a dual-core ARM-15 processor. 4G connectivity will allegedly come standard for all international units.
The new device will supposedly feature a slightly larger 5.5-inch screen (as opposed to the 5.3 on the original), which will again be of a Super AMOLED variety, and have an even higher WSXGA+ resolution (1680 x 1050 pixels). I wonder if the phone will physically bigger, or have they managed to make the bezel even smaller to fit the larger screen in to the current sized shell.
North Americans will probably have to wait til early 2024 to get their hands on this phone through their local carriers, but we all know the international version releases months before North America gets their official releases.
No doubt the Galaxy Note II Will have Ice Cream sandwich pre-loaded, but my mind wonders if they will incorporate more S-Pen friendly apps and advancements, or will we be just investing in a speedier version of the Galaxy Note that we see today. All that aside, I know I’ll be one of the people pre-ordering this bad boy for sure!
