Back when Google announced the new Nexus phones they also had a little something something up their sleeves in the form of a new tablet, the Pixel C. Similar to how the Chromebook Pixel was made to showcase ChromeOS, the Pixel C was designed to showcase pure Android running on top notch hardware enclosed in a stunning shell. If you’ve anxiously awaiting the release of this beautiful piece of technology I have some good news. It’s now available for purchase through the Google Store! Here’s a rundown of the specs:
- 10.2″ 2560×1800 Display
- NVIDIA Tegra X1 with Maxwell GPU
- 3GB DDR4 RAM
- 32GB /64GB Internal Storage
- 8MP Camera
- 2MP Front Facing Camera
- 34.2 Whr Battery
- Android 6.0.1
In terms of price, the Pixel C is definitely on the high end for the tablet market. The tablet starts at $649 for a 32GB model while the 64GB model jumps all the way up to $799! And just in case that hasn’t burned a hole in your wallet yet there’s also a pretty nifty keyboard cover that can charge your device that costs another $199!
While I really think this is a super slick tablet, the price makes it a hard sell. At these prices you could get a pretty decent laptop or tablet hybrid that would probably offer you more bang for buck.
