A few days ago ASUS teased us about an upcoming Transformer device, and as expected they announced today, at IFA 2024, the follow-up to the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700. Due to trademark issues, the new device will no longer bare the Infinity name and will simply be named the Transformer Pad TF701.
The first Infinity tablet had an amazing screen and packed the most powerful chip available, making it one of the best Android tablets on the market for quite a while. The new Transformer Pad lives up to its predecessor and packs an amazing hardware inside a beautiful and versatile body.
The TF701 sports a stunning 10.1-inch IPS 2560×1600 display, powered by a Tegra 4 Quad-core processor. The device is backed up by 2GB of RAM and features a 5MP rear-facing camera and 1.2MP front camera.
The new Asus Tranformer Pad packs all this power in an 8.9mm thick body and weighs only 585g. However, what sets this device apart from the competition is the mobile dock. When docked the Transformer Pad boasts a 17-hour battery life, while giving you the versatility of a full USB 3.0, SDXC slot (there’s a microSDXC slot on the tablet) and physical keyboard.
There’s no word on pricing or availability, but our guess is that will see this device hit the market before the holiday season. Is this the tablet you were waiting for? Let us know in the comments below
