Asus has released another teaser video in preparation to MWC and their February 25th event. This one is even weirder as it is highlighted by the statue of Columbus coming to life to take a call on his map or whatever it is that he’s holding.
This definitely seems to point towards that new device that was leaked a while back called the FonePad. In case you forgot, the FonePad is apparently going to be a 7″ tablet with phone capabilities. It’s expected to feature a 7″ 1280×800 resolution screen, 1GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage, 3MP Camera, Android 4.1 and, oh yes, an Intel Atom Z2420 CPU.
The above picture is something that leaked a week or so ago and is reportedly the new device. As you can see, it appears to be made out of metal (likely aluminium) so this too fits with the earlier video which highlights the new metallic designs that are on their way to MWC.
I won’t say that this device is now written in stone, as anything can happen in the tech world, but the evidence is definitely in favour of the FonePad’s existence. Now the big question is, who wants a 7″ phone? And on top of that question, who wants an Intel powered device?? Check the video out below:
