The Nexus 5 is (hopefully) coming soon! And if it’s anything like the previous Nexus device, it’s going to be a hit among Android enthusiasts as it will bring some top notch specs with a very reasonable price tag. Now if you’re thinking of picking one of these up and just throwing your good ol’ micro SIM into there you may be in for a surprise.
In the disclaimer page of Ukrainian carrier Life:), they state the following:
“Planning to buy iPhone5S, iPhone5c, Nexus5 or smartphone with Android 4.4? Choose nano-sim from life
“
Now I wouldn’t say that this is conclusive by any means as the phone hasn’t been officially released still. It’s also strange that they write “or smartphone with Android 4.4.” It almost seems like they’re saying that all Android 4.4 devices need nano-SIMs which would make no sense at all. So again, don’t take Life:)’s word for it just yet, but there’s still a good chance the new Nexus will use a nano-SIM.
Perhaps it’s time to go grab a nano cutter off of ebay?
