Sony Xperia Z2 Leaks In New Photo

Though the Xperia Z1 has been unveiled less than two weeks ago, Sony doesn’t seem to slow down, as rumour has it, they’re preparing a new device, dubbed the Z2, to be unveiled in January at CES 2024.

The new device is expected to feature a 5.5-inch IGZO Triluminos screen with 540ppi, a first in the industry. Powering that amazing screen should be a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, backed up by 3GB of RAMa. On the back is the same 20.7MP camera found on the Z1, with a Xenon flash. Keeping the lights on is a 3,500mAh, and the device will come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box.

The picture on the top of the article is allegedly the Sony Xperia Z2. The phone does look like a Z1 with a bigger screen, which makes sense. Despite the big battery and screen the device manages to stay pretty slim.

You can expect this device to appear during CES 2024, but until then more leaks are bound to arrive at our doorstep. Though the device looks amazing, launching such a phone so close to the release of the Z1 might undermine the Z1’s sales. For this reason a Spring/Fall launch like Samsung does with the S and Note line would make much more sense. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
