Curious to know what Android 5.0 Lollipop might look like on one of Sony’s flagship devices? Well you’re in luck as Sony has thrown together a little video to do just that. In the video above, you’ll see the AOSP version of Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the Z1, Z2 and Z3! Pretty interesting to see Sony tinkering once again with the AOSP build of Android but I don’t expect they’ll drop their skin any time soon.
The more interesting part about this is that Sony is launching a new initiative in partnership with Sweden’s “3” (a wireless provider in Sweden). Their beta program, uncreatively called 3Beta, is giving some Swedish customers the chance to test drive Android 5.0 AOSP on the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact. The purpose of the beta program is for Sony to gather as much feedback as possible as they prep their devices for Android 5.0.
