Despite all the phones on the market right now, I’m still eager to check out and test the Xperia Z (although it may never happen). The device just looks amazing and from everything I’ve been seeing, it’s a very durable phone despite it’s super sleek design. Even though it’s receiving great reviews and is garnering a lot of attention, the device never made its way to this side of the world. Instead we were treated to the less exciting, but still very capable, co-flagship, the Xperia ZL.
Well it looks like Sony may finally be responding to all the cries of hopeful buyers. Yesterday Sony CEO Kaz Hirai took the stage at the D11 conference and announced that they will be bringing the Sony Xperia Z to a carrier in the USA soon. He didn’t say which carrier(s)would be getting the phone or when it would happen but it’s good news nonetheless.
Now we just need to wait and see if Canada gets the same treatment. I’ve already reached out to our Sony contact to see if they have any update about the new development and we’ll keep you posted as to what we hear.
