The LG G2 is undoubtedly the best LG phone to date and the Canadian launch is just days away. And if you’re one of the many planning on grabbing this beast of phone and want it in white, I may have some good or bad news, depending on which carrier you’re on. It would appear that Rogers has once again gained exclusive rights to the white version of one of the top new smartphones (they also had the exclusive on the white Q10 for a period).
Oddly though, the exclusive to Rogers becomes even more exclusive as it will only be sold through GLENTEL-owned retailers. These include WirelessWave, Tbooth Wireless, Wireless etc., and Target Mobile. This, I assume, is in addition to the actual official Rogers dealers as their website lists both Black and White as available colours.
While I understand the desire for carriers to have exclusives, I don’t quite understand furthering that exclusivity to a particular branch of third party retailers. Seems like a bad business move to me but I guess I’m not the one with the multi-million (multi-billion?) dollar company.
