Not long ago Virgin Mobile made it known ‘We are now accepting pre-orders!’ and all the other large carriers were very quick to follow just minutes and hours later. It appears Rogers may have jumped the gun on this one perhaps? Rogers pulled down the Galaxy Nexus from the reservation system and issuing the following statement:
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to temporarily remove the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung, from the Rogers Reservation System. For those who have already reserved a device, their place in line has been secured. For those still eager to reserve the Galaxy Nexus, the device will be back up on the Reservation System soon.”
Temporary mishap that will be corrected in the short future, or will Rogers delay the Galaxy Nexus a little to over come this unfortunate situation? As it stands, Virgin and Bell will be releasing their Galaxy Nexus Dec.8th. Rogers promised theirs in January. I don’t know about every single rogers customer, but I for one am very impatient. I wouldn’t stand by and watch everyone around me have their new phone, while I’m still waiting an additional month for mine. I would end up buying it outright from another carrier.
I sure hope Rogers doesn’t scare their soon to be pre-order customers away. It would be a real shame if they got cut from a good thing in the middle of all the hype.
What do you think, will this have a negative effect on Rogers, or will customers be forgiving and wait? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
