Now that LG launched the G6 and Samsung introduced the Galaxy S8, what are mobile enthusiasts to look forward to? How about the OnePlus 5?
What? But the company’s last phone is the OnePlus 3T, you might complain. Well, in China the number 4 is considered unlucky, so in order to escape the curse OnePlus has apparently decided to call its next-gen flagship the OnePlus 5.
And according to a recent leak, the OnePlus 5 is going to be quite a powerful device. Taking inspiration from both the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8, the OnePlus 5 is said to come with a 5.5-inch QHD edge-to-edge display (2,560 x 1,440 resolution) almost devoid of side bezels. On the inside the phone is supposed to take advantage of a Snapdragon 835 processor working in combination with either 6GB (like the current model) or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in internal storage
The same report claims the OnePlus 5 will feature a very slim frame of only 7mm. If the information turns out to be true, the OnePlus 5 will be skinnier than the Galaxy S8 which is 8mm thick.
Previous rumours also claimed the phone will come equipped with a 23MP main camera, but the current report doesn’t mention this piece of information. What do you think?
