Nexus 4 countdown

Yup… at some point in the next 24 hours the Play Store will open it’s doors for purchasing of the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 10.

The Nexus 7 is already up for grabs (I think I’ll wait and order both at the same time), but they’re still holding off on when the Nexus 4/10 will be available.

There’s been plenty of rumours floating around as to what specific hour it’ll be available, and even some sites have gone to Google for an official answer, and they’ve been pretty ‘political’ in their response.

AndroidPolice: Is Google going to start shipping on the 13th or open pre-orders? In other words, when will the first customers be able to hold the new Nexuses in their paws?

Google PR Rep: They’ll start shipping on that date.

AndroidPolice: Alright, thanks. Do you know when the pre-orders will start then?

Google PR Rep: Right now, it’s “Notify me” and on 11/13 it will switch to available for order.

So… are you going to buy the N4 or the N10 tonight/tomorrow?

If so… are you staying up to see if the midnight changeover is the magic hour?  Or are you getting up ultra early the next day?

Here’s my theory:

Google’s main HQ is in California right, that’s PST (same as our BC folk)?

I’m going with option #2 as the least inconveniencing for anybody out there.  All the same, I may stay up a little later tonight, just to see, and try to wake up ultra early … you never know.

What’s  your thoughts?

Another question… do you think the accessory for the charging orb will be available at the same time?  Hopefully accessories for the N4 are unlike how Samsung made accessories for the GNexus available; never saw a pogo pin accessory… ever.

(and the follow up… would the palm touchstone charger work just as well? — answer:  no)
