I’ve got some more leaked screenshots to pass your guys’ way! A series of screenshots allegedly taken from a Moto X 2024 have surfaced (courtesy of Phandroid) showcasing Android 5.0 Lollipop running on Motorola’s flagship device. As you’d expect, it looks more or less like stock Lollipop but we do get a glimpse at some of Motorola’s own apps as well.
As you can see in the photos below, Motorola has opted to stick with its own Moto Voice and Moto Display rather than utilize Google’s “borrowed” versions of these features. Motorola’s camera application has also received some minor updates though there’s nothing drastically from what we can see. Hopefully Motorola is able to utilize the new camera API’s found in Lollipop to up the picture quality though!
Now we still don’t have a firm time frame as to when Motorola will roll out this new update but they have a great track record. Last year they were able to bring KitKat to the Moto X before Google was able to bring it to the Nexus 4! Whether or not Motorola beats Google and the Nexus 5 to Lollipop this year remains to be seen but one thing I’m sure of is that Moto devices will get updated well before the other manufacturers.
