About a week ago LG began teasing their LG G2 Mini, a pint sized version of their flagship device. At the time, many were expecting that LG would follow in the footsteps of Sony and put together a equally high-powered miniature flagship but it looks like we were all wrong on that one. GSMInfo.nl has outed the new device as well as the specs and sadly it fits more in line with other mid-range Mini devices like the S4 Mini and HTC One Mini. Here’s the spec breakdown:
- 4.7″ 960×540 qHD IPS Display
- 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 Processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB Internal Storage
- micorSD Card Slot
- 8MP Camera
- 1.3MP Front Facing Camera
- Android 4.4 KitKat
While it’s not a bad device by any means, it’s no where near the caliber of it’s larger namesake. If price properly, it could still be a strong contender in that entry-mid level segment but it’s definitely not going to garner the same attention as a true flagship device.
According to GSMInfo.nl, the device will be available in the Netherlands in April and will come in both black and white. No word on a wider release but with MWC just around the corner, LG will likely use that event to provide further details for their pint-sized device. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as more news comes forth.
