We’re FINALLY getting our first glimpse of what we believe to be the HTC M8 aka HTC One 2! HTCFamily.ru has tweeted a picture showcasing the upcoming flagship device and as per previous rumours from @evleaks, it does look “strikingly” similar to the the original HTC One.
Although the new device looks very similar to the original One, there are some very noteworthy differences. To begin with, there is what we believe to be a finger print reader at the top of the device. Hopefully this works better than the reader on the One Max. Secondly the new device has dual flash which should really help in those low light situations. Thirdly, there is no more Beats Audio logo on the device. HTC sold their share in Beats back to the company a while back so we likely won’t be seeing that little logo on their devices anymore.
I’m a little conflicted about the design on the device. On the one hand I love that they kept it similar because I absolutely loved the design on the HTC One. On the other hand though, I feel like the lack of change in the overall design may hinder sales numbers for HTC a little bit as people may be wishing for something newer. Nevertheless, I can’t wait to check out this device!
