Like a terrible couple, the HTC-Facebook phone has been on again off again for what seems like years. And based on the latest news, things seem to be all sunshine and lolipops as the phone is expected to be on again.
What you see above are reported specs of the upcoming Facebook phone which may launch as the HTC Myst. And as you can see it could come pretty well equipped with a 4.3″ 720p Display, 1.5GHZ Dual Core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage, 5MP Camera, 1.6MP Front-Facing Camera, and HSPA and LTE support. Add to that the fact that it should come with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (or higher) out of the box and you’ve got yourself a pretty decent little handset.
The big draw of this will obviously be the Facebook integration. It’ll come pre-loaded with a suite of Facebook applications and may possibly feature some sort of Facebook shortcut button.
Honestly, I don’t see the necessity of a Facebook phone but I’m not a huge Facebook-er anyway so maybe that’s why I don’t quite get it. What do you guys think? Is there a place in this world for a Facebook phone?
