How To Get Data Working on Unlocked Androids.

If you have a carrier locked phone that you’ve unlocked yourself or paid to have unlock codes sent to your email, you may have noticed your Android might have troubles picking up data off the new carrier. This is because you are trying to use your phone on a network that the phone was not made to work with. So you may need to change the APN settings yourself to get your 3G data working again.

To change your APN settings on your Android, do the following:
Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names > Hit the menu button and select “New APN” In this next screen you enter the information that goes with the carrier you are trying to connect to.
