Getting a new phone is an exciting time but setting up your new phone can be a little bit cumbersome, particularly if you’re switching operating systems. To help make the transition a little easier Google has put together a guide for users who are switching from iOS to Android. The guide is pretty straight forward and will take you step by step through moving your pictures, music, and contacts from your iOS device to your sweet new Android device. You’re basically moving everything to the Cloud and then pulling it back down onto your new device.
For all you Android faithful out there there’s also a pretty slick new way of setting up your new device on Android Lollipop. During the setup wizard you’ll be able to touch your new Android 5.0 loaded phone to your old device (assuming it has NFC) and the phone will do the rest! I gave it a go on my Nexus 5 running the latest developer build and it worked like a charm!
So there you have it! Switching phones is getting easier and easier.
