Galaxy S6 Active Shows Up On Samsung’s Website

Galaxy S6 Active Press

Well I guess we can finally count the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active as confirmed.  The rugged version of Samsung’s flagship had leaked a few times over the past few days and now it has shown up on Samsung’s own website.

The device is currently listed as a participating device in Samsung’s Plus Program, a US only program that provides different benefits to loyal customers.  While the program itself isn’t overly exciting, the fact that the device is listed is good news as it may be a sign that the launch of the flagship variant is imminent.

As we had previously reported, the S6 Active is expected to sport many of the same internals as its standard sibling.  That means a Exynos 7 octo-core processor, 3GB RAM, 16MP camera with OIS and a 5MP front facing camera.  It’s also expected to sport a larger 3500 mAh battery and, in typical Active fashion, will be water resistant.
