Back in December a major security flaw was discovered in the Samsung Exynos chip. The security hole left devices vulnerable to malicious apps that could essentially destroy your phone and everything in it.
Samsung issued a statement shortly after informing the public that they were working on a fix and it looks like that fix is ready. The OTA update is currently rolling out in the UK currently and should be rolling out world wide in the coming weeks. This update apparently fixes the “random death” issue that was plaguing the SIII’s as well.
It’s nice to see that Samsung was so quick to address these two major issues that were plaguing their devices. These issues could have greatly hurt the companies image but thanks to their quick work, many likely won’t even know that anything was ever wrong.
Now if they would just roll out that multi-window update we’d all be happy!
