Did The Next Samsung Nexus Get Leaked?

Samsung Galaxy Nexus successor said to pack a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, same 4.65-inch screen

According to a doc that was leaked via SamMobile, the next Samsung Nexus device may be in the works.  According to the doc you’ll see a new device GT-I9260 listed between the previous Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S III

In the doc to the right, you’ll see the device is codenamed “Superior.”  The device features a 4.65″ HD Super AMOLED display, an 8MP Camera, 1.9MP Front Facing Camera, 16GB Internal Storage WITH a Micro-SD Card Slot, and runs on a 1.5 GHz dual-core A9 Processor.

In many ways it looks like the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S III had a baby that, like all babies, received a little bit from mom and a little bit from dad.  In the doc to the right there’s also a possible launch date of November 12 which lines up with previous Nexus launch dates.

There’s a lot of things to lead us to believe that this is indeed a real device.  Rumour has been that 5 manufacturers would be launching a Nexus device this time around and if that is true it’s pretty safe to say that Samsung would be one of those five.  The date also is spot on as well.

As much as I love Nexus devices and love Samsung devices, I hope that this isn’t the next Nexus device.  I was expecting a larger display for one, and a larger bump in the processor department.  If they were to use an A9 I was expecting a quad-core device.  If they were to jump to an A15, dual-core would suffice though quad would still be preferred.  I do like that they’re throwing in a Micro-SD card this time around but I think that’s about the only thing I like about this leak.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see, as always, to see what Google’s got in store for the next line of Nexus devices.
