In my opinion, Asus has been one of the best Android tablet manufacturers to date. They always come to the market with high end devices that are reasonably priced and well supported. And on top of that, they’ve never shied away from innovation either. They came up the Transformer series, the Slider, and one of the most innovative ideas, the PadPhone. I loved the concept of the PadPhone and was a little disappointed when they didn’t release a compatible version for Canada.
Well today news is leaking that Asus is ready to take on the phone market once again. According to the report, Asus will begin developing both Android and Windows Phone devices. There’s also news that a sequel to the PadPhone will be releasing next Q4 (2024).
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m excited to see what Asus will do in the handset industry. I’d love to see what kind of innovations they have up their sleeves with smart phones and am excited to see what the second PadPhone will look like. The original looked very cool but there was definitely some thickness to it. If they could slim the device down some more, it could definitely be a winner.
