After two lengthy delays, Rogers is once again rolling out an update to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge which brings both devices up to Android 5.1.1. According to Rogers, the last delay in October had to do with Samsung’s implementation of VoLTE. The issue has since been resolved but Rogers is still being very cautious as they are rolling the update out in small batches. The first batch rolled out today with subsequent batches to follow. All devices should receive the update by the end of the month.
If you want to try and grab the update, jump into your settings and scroll down to about device. In there, do a manual check for a software update. Again, there’s no guarantee you’ll get the update today as it’s a gradual roll out but it’s worth a check nonetheless.
