Samsung Has Sold 5 million Galaxy S8 Models So Far

Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagships became globally available on April 21 and even if it hasn’t even been a full month since their launch, the Korean tech giant managed to sell lots and lots of them.

According to a report coming out of The Investor, Samsung sold more than 5 million units of its flagship pair. We weren’t provided with exact sales numbers by model, so we’ll have to assume that the Galaxy S8 is probably selling better – being the most affordable of the two.

The report mentions that Samsung is expected to sell 20 million Galaxy S8 units by the end of the second quarter and 50 or 60 million units by the end of the year. The company also revealed the phones will be available in more than 120 countries by the end of the month.

As a quick reminder, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ offer compact and tall Infinity Displays with 2960 x 1440 resolution, as well as a new Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood. Samsung offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage across all versions, but the good news for those who want more is that storage can be increased via a microSD card slot up to 256GB.

The Galaxy S8 duo can be purchased in Canada from the vast majority of carriers in the country.
