Another week, another rumour. Galaxy S III rumours have been on the rampage recently around the internet, some believable, other pretty farfetched.
This latest rumour hints that an April release could be within our future. As ZDNet Korea has seemingly confirmed it with Samsung’s marketing partner in the region. The announcement is expected for early April, with a huge marketing push around the Olympic Games in London.
The Galaxy S series phone has to be one of the most popular in all of US and Canada, there is no question why people are starting to get excited. Of course there isn’t really much to back this claim up, it’s all speculation at this point, but this guess is as good as any.
To date, the latest rumoured specs of the Galaxy S III are said to be:
- 1.5ghz quad core Exynos processor
- 4.8″ display
- 16GB and 32GB models available with expandable MicroSD slot
- 2GB ram
- 8MP camera
- 2MP front camera
- NFC enabled
- Pre-loaded Android OS 4.0 ICS
It’s said to also have LTE, but LTE + Exynos processor? I thought they used Qualcomm / Scorpion processors with LTE for a reason? Time will tell for sure, but this is the latest specs that I’ve come across.
It will also be interesting to see if Samsung’s Galaxy S III will feature this “All day battery” they have promised us months ago. I just hope we get it before the Americans like we did with the Galaxy S II, it was fun to watch them drool in agony for once while we got the new toys first
