Great news for all you Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note users. According to Samsung Canada’s Twitter page, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is expected to hit these devices “before the holidays!” Now that’s not really a very definite date but if we’re assume they mean the Christmas holidays, that means that the update is only a month or two away.
While it’s not quite as early as we had originally anticipated, it’s still good to hear that Samsung is working hard to get these updates out. Let’s hope that the carriers don’t delay the update any longer than that.
I’m actually very curious to see how many of the Galaxy Note II features they are able to throw into these devices. In various leaks we’ve already seen the new gallery and pop up play features running. But the feature I’d really like to see them throw onto these devices is the “Best Faces” camera feature. If it works anything like what they showed in their demos, it’ll be an amazing feature.
