I found a changelog for the CDMA Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I know this isn’t a Canadian release, but the changes seen on the CDMA device, we will most likely seen on our GSM version as well in a 4.0.4 of our own, or straight to 4.0.5 in March.
XDA posts the following changes:
- Noticeably Faster
- Android OS bug fixed (in battery stats)
- Long-pressing on a blank spot on the last page of app tray bug is gone
- 3G/4G switching better.
- Improved signal strength
- New Power Menu
- PRIMELA03 Boot loader
- Faster boot up time
- Auto-brightness Functionality changed. Smooth transition
- Holding down camera button now refocuses again
- Multi touch issue seems resolved
- Auto rotate is faster
- Browser performance noticeably improved
- Recent apps list opens faster
- Miscellaneous camera UI changes
- Increased volume
- Keyboard fixes
- Updated News & Weather app UI
- Improved quick controls in browser
Within this list, the things that stood out the most to me are the AOS Bug fix, better signal strength, faster auto-rotation, performance and increased volume.
Many of these things in the list are the things I was griping about when this phone first came out. It’ll be interesting to see if we’ll get our GSM fixes in either a 4.0.4 of our own or straight to 4.0.5 in March. Even more interesting to see if we will see any GSM leaks before the official OTA push for us rooters.
