You know something’s up when some of Google’s own Nexus devices have their OS update delayed by several weeks.
For those that don’t know, the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE still have not received the Android 7.0 Nougat update, whether it’s an OTA or as a factory image.
Android Police has now received word from Google saying that the update should be rolling out to users “in the coming weeks”. I presume there are still a couple device-specific bugs to fix but the company has yet to provide any sort of transparent communication on the matter. I won’t be surprised if it goes directly to Android 7.1 when the new Pixel phones launch.
